It is with a heavy heart and a profound sense of loss that I begin this thread in Jim's honor. On the 11th of May, Jim succumbed to embolisms in both lungs resulting from his back surgery on the 9th. Jim was an active member here and active on a couple of other forums, He was a true motorcycle enthusiast and owned both a modern Bonneville and a 69 TR6C. He was good with a wrench and did most of his on maintenance. He was also and avid firearms enthusiast and shot competitively. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and offer advice based his own vast experience. He leaves behind his lovely wife, Sandy, and two daughters.
Jim was a personal friend and we have been close friends for 16 years. We first met through Rat Net.; He discovered I was living in Flagler County and he and Sandy were spending the winter in the St Augustine area. We arranged to meet in person and a lasting friendship began. I had the privilege of recruiting him to Triumph Talk. We talked via phone and email frequently and spent time and rode together every winter. He and Sandy gave me great support when Mae Lyne passes. Sandy and Mae Lyne were friends.
I am thankful to have had Jim as a friend and I will miss him greatly. His passing creates a great void in my life. Godspeed, my friend. We will remember you always.
