It is with a very heavy heart that I received word from Harry's wife Liz that Harry has lost his fight against his illness. :(

To Liz and the family our hearts go out to you guys and you are in our thoughts and prayers.

For those of us that had the honour of knowing Harry over the years on the forum we all came to know him as a trooper never letting his illness get him down. Harry always had this way to see something positive in everyone and would never put anyone down. He was a real trooper in all respects always seeing the positive in his situation than dwelling on the negative.

I remember the one conversation I had with him in one of his darker periods and him saying to me "Don't be sad Dave, all is good". So with this in mind I know Harry would want us to celebrate his life and the good times. It is hard however not to be sad at a time like this.

Harry mate you were a real inspiration to a number of us and you will be dearly missed, go well my friend

To Dave and the Crew at Triumphtalk,
Liz and her two sons (myself included) both appreciate your kind words, and the kindness you have all shown him over the last few years. He took a great deal of pride in both his passion for the ride and the community on this forum.
He will be greatly missed by the family, and we are so very proud that he touched the hearts of others often so very far away.

Jeff H. (Scout).

Harry and I never met in person. But he inspired me through some hard times. Gave encouraging words and inspired me to continue when I was dealing with some rough patches in my life. It was only later I find he was doing this with no mention of his own struggles.
That alone speaks volumes to just how much character he posesed. And his DEVOtion to others. Awh it don't matter he would reply.....or hang in there.
Well Sir it DID matter. And I DID hang in there. And I thank you.
I miss that I never got to buy him that beer. But I will be forever greatful I got the privilege to know Harry. God Speed and safe travels.

Sprocket. He will get bugs in his teeth. We are sending him off with a little bike in his coffin which we use to put on his Birthday cakes for the past several years.
Everyone else. Thank you so much for being there for him. I know you have said he was there for you all as well and I am sure that is the case. Being a member of this site is what got him through some very tough patches that you may not have known about especially when going through some tough chemo treatments. He loved to talk and that was the said thing he couldn't do for the last 3 weeks of his life. He had such a deep voice he could scare children but such a big heart he could also get them under his spell very quickly. After 42 years together he will be missed by me forever.

My family thanks everyone for their condolences. It was humbling to hear what he meant to people he has never met.
I also want ot thank you Triumphtalk for the lovely gift package which arrived today. I will certainly make use of everything it has.
All the best to everyone as this will probably be the last time you will here from me. Take care.

I will. Today was hard going out to do the deliveries and explaining that Harry was no longer with us. It will be the same tomorrow and probably for the next month as I cover all of our customers who also loved to stop and chat with him. So many times I had to tell him we had to move on but no he loved to talk and would only go when all was said. Time for me to get tomorrows orders organized.

We need all the help we can get around here. Hemibee hasn't cleaned his room (or his bike) in months, and Mad on Triumphs was poking me with a stick last week....... lots of ear boxing and stern lectures for sure. :)
