Was just reading some of the comments at the end of the link.

Quote in part,
"An embarrassment, that perpetuated the stereotypical view of motorcycle riders. Granted the average Harley biker is an ignorant white trash, trailer park living, meth smoking moron, and these guys were at least a step above that, but still it was nothing more than human dysfunctionality on display while they put together totally impractical motorcycles that weren’t good for anything except breaking down and costing you a lot of money."

I would watch now and then if I turned on the TV and it was on and I think that was early on a Sunday morning but I have not seen it for ages. I did make a point in watching the bike build off between them and Jessie James as I like the bikes he does. Pity he did not win it but I suppose those voting don't really know much about the art of actually building a bike that you can ride as Jessie put it :y2: I never got it that people would pay so much cash for a bike that was not ridable but then I suppose looking at those that did buy them they were not really bikers anyway so to speak. :y13:

No, it still exists in spite of itself.
I'm stunned that this kind of crap has run on TV for so many years.
But it has made millionaires out of those nitwits so I'm sure they're happy the show ran so long.

I watched the earliest episodes but quickly lost interest with all the bickering.

I think that the show generated millions for the family but like Lottery winners, they overspent, under saved and are generally in financial difficulties now.........

A prudent individual would be "set for life".

I agree with the general consensus here. But i also this that show is just one of many. That kind of garbage seems to have taken over. There are nites i switch channels and nearly every channel is some crappy reality show. Hillbilly hand fishin', pawn shop something or other, shows about alligator wrestlers, ice road truckes about truckers on icy roads, shows where guys go into storage lockers looking for bargains to sell, the list is endless. I just shake my head and wonder how it is we let it get like this and PAY for it no less ! I dumped cable and watched only free air TV years ago, but when i moved here, (back house where i share rent with people in main house) part of the agreement was that i pay 1/3 of the cable bill. I'd never have cable if not for that.

On the subject of AC, i think that show is so scripted it's just BS. A reality show thats not even real. Can't get much worse than that.

Some of those reality show are actually very nice if you sit down and follow them. The one that I am enjoying is American Restorations all sorts of cool stuff comes up that he restores to new.

I hate reality shows, but they aren't all bad. I enjoy Top Shot, One Man Army, American Restorations, Mythbusters - and American Guns to some extent, but Rich Wyatt is a little over the top sometimes.
We have a couple of reality shows here in Canada that may not be seen elsewhere; Canada's Worst Driver and Canada's Worst Handyman. The "contestants" are so bad and so stupid I can hardly watch sometimes CRY

I occasionally watch American Restorations, Myth Busters and American guns. I have never seen One Man Army. I just don't spend any time in front of a TV set.

Of those mentioned, I love "Top Shot". I watch this show with full attention.......

I am generally watching the Food Network, "Chopped", "Iron Chef America", "Diners Drive-ins and Dives", then on the HGTV channel, "Holmes on Homes", "Property Brothers", "Income Property", etc.

These other shows are actually running in the background while I'm on the internet or puttering around the house.........

I have Fiber-optic service to my home primarily for the internet speeds. The TV has 300 - 400 channels available and I watch maybe 4.......

Oh! I forgot. After walking the dogs in the morning, I turn on Animal Planet and we watch together until I leave for work. I leave the TV on for them..... ;-) (Big Cat Diary and the late Steve Irwin's show, Alligator Hunter are what we watch together)

Duck Dynasty is a RIOT x's 2 Hemi. TUP
Velocity Channel has a show called Cafe Racer T.V. its good they spotlight different garages each week that do Cafe restorations...and they actually ride them to.....sometimes they don't run real well. Usually on a budget not millions spent on "show pony" trophy bikes. Its fun to watch and not all that non-reality "made up" for tv ego b.s. drama crap like some of the shows.

The History Channel knew when to get out. They stopped the American Chopper show and it made it's way down the ladder of significant channels over time.

When it fist started, it was rather interesting watching the fabrication although I didn't care for the outcomes.

Then it became a soap opera that had little to do with fabrication or even building any bikes!

My favorite programs on TV are:

The Big Bang Theory - hilarious nerds!

Elementary - a twist on detective shows as a cross between Sherlock Holmes and Monk

A recent series on the History Channel was EXCELLENT called The Men Who Built America.

It was about some of the names of men who actually built America (without any government help I might add) like: John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, George Westinghouse, Thomas Edison, Nikola Tesla, Henry Ford, etc.
