I agree with you. I chose the T120, not because I need 1200cc, but because I'm looking down the road. The day is coming when I will not safely be able to ride two wheels. When that day comes, I plan to add a sidecar and stay in the wind. I have sidecar experience.
Here's a Triumph for when we're old. Would be fine about town, I'm sure.

I just overtook a car two-up on my old 750, accelerating steeply uphill from low revs from 18mph (yes, driver was getting on my nerves) to probably over 40mph in three seconds. I was holding back, didn't want to leave my son sprawled on road behind bike, as well as it being a 20mph zone.

I'd try one, always liked singles and at 67 years old I'm done with big speeds and power. They look great too so for me what's not to like. BUT, it would mean parting with my Street Twin as I can't have two bikes and that is not going to happen.

Will be waiting for your review . I saw that video a few weeks ago . Not sure who was the toughest , the bikes or the riders . The bikes didn’t complain one bit , the riders could have justifiably complained all the time and probably needed two days sleep at the end while the bikes would be happy to fire up early the next morning and putt , putt down the mountain . I have a new level of respect for those guys now .

I put my name and a $100 fully refundable deposit on one and they’re supposed to be here this month. I have no idea if the dealer has a list, or where I am on it if there is one. Just waiting for a phone call. I sat on one a while ago when they made a stop on their tour at my dealership‘s floor, but they were not allowed to be or able to be started. It certainly didn’t feel too small. Fit and finish was as good as any new Triumph. I would use it on suburban rides of 1-3 hours, county and state roads of no more than 45-50 speed limits.
