Hurricane Rafael is stirring the pot out in the southern Atlantic and moving away from North America so none of us should be bothered by the storm.
It's possible our sister province of Newfoundland to the east might get brushed with some rain, but that will be about it.
Funny, just the other night I mentioned to my wife that this has been a quiet hurricane season.
I guess I shouldn't have spoken :y2:

Hurricane Paul is headed this way, getting rains this afternoon from the outer bands, well sort of the outer bands. It's odd, we are getting rains from a Pacific hurricane when the ones in the Gulf that were A LOT closer never even offered up a sprinkle for us.

Rafael passed about 800 km's (500 miles) offshore so not even the edges of the system brushed us.
The cold air and water took all the steam out of the storm as it moved northeast and it soon lost its punch.
