How to Adjust Shift Lever Height on a 2018 Tiger 1200XRt with Quick Shifter -

I have a 2018 Tiger 1200XRt with a Quickshifter and I am not having any luck adjusting the shift level height. It was too high, and I tried loosening the lock nuts on the transfer shaft (don't know the name of it), but the Quickshifter has a wire coming off it that prevents spinning the rod like a normal shaft would to move the lever up or down. A mechanic at Triumph who wasn't sure how to do it, suggested removing the nut from the bottom lever arm and then spinning the lever arm around to tighten/loosen (seemed like a good idea), but that nut just spins without loosening of the nut - and there is some soft ring behind the lever arm in the way preventing me from seeing if there is a lock nut behind the lever arm and I don't want to damage the ring (not know what it is there for the upper lever arm seems to have the same ring). I checked the manual first and found nothing (did I just miss it??). Anyone have any success adjusting their shift lever on a 1200 with the Quickshifter? I am at a loss...

Mine does not have the quick shifter, So can't help with this. Can the upper shift link be removed and repositioned on the spline shaft where it goes into the transmission?

Turns out there is a tiny stainless steel pin that goes into the bottom of the adjuster at the bottom of the vertical shaft connecting the top and bottom lever arms. When that pin is removed by flipping it around the back of the adjuster counter-clockwise (looking down), and then lifting the pin out, the adjustor can pop off of the bottom lever arm allowing the adjuster to be spun up or down (after the lock nut is loosened of course) one or more full turns to raise or lower the shift lever, and then the adjuster can be put back on the lever arm and the pin is replaced and the lock nut is tightened and you are good to go. I have been told you have to be very careful to make sure the pin is all the way back in, or the adjuster will just pop back off.
