The Task - install curtain railing
Tools - Electric drill, hammer, wall plugs, screws, spirit level
Materiel - New curtain rail

Process
Remove old curtain rail and replace with new one.
1. Unscrew old curtain rail and remove. Fill the old holes with filler, darn don't have any so off to the hardware store to get some.
2. Holes filled and now wait for filler to dry
3. 3 hours later filler dry enough to commence drilling new holes (New holes in different position to old)
4. Measure new position for holes to screw curtain rail to wall.
5. Check with spirit level to make sure positions for new holes are level to each other, cool all level.
6. Mark positions with pencil and recheck level and distance to make sure new rail will be centre to window, all done this should be easy now.
7. Drill first hole insert plug attach rail holder to wall. Check once again that rail is straight and correct hight above window TUP
8. Drill second hole, hmmm this is not good wall is crumbling and the hole is getting bigger :y7:
9. Stop drilling and check if plug will fit into hole, nope need to go deeper. Drill some more insert plug and screw in screw. Hmmm not holding need a bigger plug. Off to shed find bigger plug back to hole. Not deep enough drill some more, ooops :y10:
10. Off to hardware store purchase new porthole window to place in hole.
11. Toss curtain railing out and install porthole.
12. Looks a bit strange however I suppose the room could do with more light :y13:

And this is why I hate doing DIY in the mother in laws flat (apartment)

Next week hang pictures on the wall but I did purchase a few more portholes just in case :y2:

:worthless:

Well, not really worthless but pictures can bring it to life. :y16:

I should have taken a pic before I repaired it I suppose, don't worry I need to change a few light bulbs soon and I am sure I should get some good pics out of that, you know a small thing going wrong like the ceiling falling in on me or something :y2:
