Hi, after a major seize on my 67 T90 it's running now but only at tick over speed until I check the oil pressure although it is returning nicely to the tank. I tried using an old dashboard gauge, connected to the blanking plug just under the pressure relief valve, I must have last used 30 years ago but when I started the bike it shot round to 100psi and blew the plastic pipe off. Thinking it was blocked after all these years I bought a new one off ebay but the same thing happened. I have now bought a nice piece of kit off ebay with a hand held 500psi gauge with proper hydrolic hose and a good range of brass fittings (only £20 off ebay) I have just tried it and the gauge was at 400psi and rising when I quickly switched the bike off. Any idea what's going on, it can't possibly be that high, I must be doing something stupid.
Thanks, Barry
