Hi, I enjoy riding my 07 Sprint ST 1050 Triple. Lots of fun on our deserted country roads.
I rebuild wrecked bikes occasionally, and experiment with different models, styles, etc...
I have rebuilt Victory Visions, Royal Enfield C5's, Ducati Air/Oil Cooled 1k bikes (no new water cooled Audi stuff), and BMW K1600's, etc... a few cars, too. I've had my ST 1050 for 5 years and it's just been the most enjoyable little canyon carver I've ever ridden. I like to ride from Vegas to Lone Pine/Mount Whitney Portal though Death Valley - right now is one of the best times to ride Death Valley - not too hot! The ST 1050 is a great bike for that ride. Thanks for having this nice forum!

:y151:andWELCOMEto the forum from across the pond.
I hope that you'll enjoy it here.
When you next do your Death Valley ride, please don't forget your camera, we all love pictures here.
If everything goes to plan I might make it out your way in a few years time, sadly in a mobile coffin, and not on my bike

Hey THANKS Everyone! I see that Amal Carb up there in the avatar. (tickle, tickle) I started at age 14 in a Suzuki/BSA/Panther/Royal Enfield shop assembling new bikes and keeping everything clean and polished. The mechanic rode a Trophy 500 that I could die for at 14. One day, a kid came by the shop with a 200 Cub in boxes (yes old fifties 200, not 250, springer frame in metal flake green, a real nice mess!) and I bought it for $25 and built it up over the summer. I rode that thing for a couple years and loved it! Got into the military and bikes went by the wayside, college, work, business, then about 15 years ago, I found an old Yamaha SECA 650 and got it running and really enjoyed it, but the gf made me shift too much on the 650, so, I traded for a 750, and didn't find Nirvana until I got a liter bike - Honda CBR 1100XX - tons of fun and smooooth! Then, I moved to Nevada and bought a big hobby shop, mixed use building and was needing a bike again and decided to rebuild salvage bikes. My first one was the Sprint ST 1050 that I still ride and enjoy today. I like the light weight and power of the triple. I've rebuilt lots of Victory Visions, because they sell well here, and I've also started dabbling in BMW K1600's - built a GTL and a GT now, and they're great for long distance touring with the same gf, but the Sprint is the most fun for local canyon carving and carefree trips, short or long by myself. Canada, I see you had/have a Victor 441. I built an Enfield 500 C5 a couple years ago - those thumpers are tons of fun! It's just hard for me to go so slow and get those thumper vibrations these days of 3, 4, and 6 cylinder smooth machines. Mississippi and Texas, I've been all over down south and really enjoy your hospitality. I'll take pics and post here. I did time in the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex, the Biyou's of Houston over to Lake Charles, up to Shreveport, down to Ft. Polk, Alexandria, Lafayette, NOLA, GULFCOAST, MS, Mobile/Fairhope, AL, Pensacola, FL, and down into and all over FL, west and east coasts. People don't realize how beautiful the Gulf Coast really is. I enjoy the laid-back lifestyle for sure. Thanks for the support. If anyone needs any 2011 Sprint GT, etc... parts, I have one that I can't use and it's parts only. Let me know if you need anything. Have Funn and Ride Safe!!!
