I'm 55 years old, and i think I am in a bit of a midlife crisis! I bought a brand new 2017 T100 without ever riding a motorcycle in my life! My best friend picked it up for me as he is an experienced rider, then he taught me to ride. I'M IN LOVE WITH MY NEW HOBBY!!! Several experienced riders, my brother included, say that I am doing great. I now have 800 miles under my belt, and am taking the basic MSF course this coming Saturday.

I am looking forward to participating in this forum. At the beginning, I will be a taker since I am so new, but at some point will be able to give back after having more experience.

Cheers all!

Nick

Welcome to bikes, Triumph, and TT from Southeast Texas.

A bit of advice I give to all new riders. . . The best accessory you can purchase after your PPE is gas. Fill the tank with gas and ride till near empty, refill and ride again until near empty, refill and ride again. . . . . . and repeat the sequence every chance you get.

Welcome to the forum Nick. You have the right bike to start riding on so you good in that respect.

Please feel free to ask about anything if you not sure. Remember there are no stupid questions when it comes to learning to ride. Rather ask and find out if you not sure.

Hello and welcome to TT from just up in the northeast from you BBEER (I'm assuming you're in Delaware)
Welcome to the hobby. You already know how addictive it can be.
You're in good company here. We're "mature" riders and you will fit in nicely.
You're new at this so be careful and have fun - and don't be shy about asking questions.
We enjoy helping a new rider.

Nick, welcome to TT and to the world of Triumphs from the Sunshine State.. Congrats on the T100, Someone above welcomed you to the hobby. I welcome you to a new way of life. BTW you are a youngster! BGRIN

Y'all are giving me warm fuzzies! this is great. One thing I have noticed about motorcyclists is friendliness. I tell my friends what I have done, and I get a speech about dying, blah blah, blah! They simply dont understand the draw with riding motorcycles and being one with your machine and the road. Funny thing is, until I got turned on to these experiences, I gave the same speech (now see the error of my ways).

In case you are wondering, I bought a scooter for travel around town in a coastal community. Once I started riding my scooter, I wanted more! now here I am 1 year later.

Nick
