HELP PLEASE - Anti-Fog Photochromatic insert for Arai X3 helmet

Farside's looking for an anti-fog photochromatic visor insert for his Arai X3 helmet. We can get the pinlock tinted visors here but they're a pain in the neck to change.

We heard that FogCity have closed down - I've searched the web but it seems that nobody makes the adhesive insert for the Arai X3 helmet.

He and BignDaft are going to ride the Himalaya Enduro in August and this little extra would be a real bonus.

Anyone out there know where we can one of these and have it delivered to SA??

Gromit. Perhaps a call to your optomterist (sp?) would be in order. Maybe the standard visor could be treated as they do with "transitional lenses"?
Worth a try I guess?

That is a good idea. I would like to know if it could be done and the cost of doing it.

I made a call, and it seems unfeasible to follow my suggestion. The transition coating is applied to the lenses by the manufacturers, and is not a outsourced process.
Damn!

Dave, thanks for the link. I may give this a try. My HJC has a built in flip down sun shade that works very well and is very effective.

If you go with the one from the above link be sure and do a product review for us. I'd read in a WebBike article that the ones they tested didn't work but I don't remember seeing this brand. I would like to have the option for my helmet but after the report I've been holding off ordering one until I could find a review on one that worked.

I have a FogCity insert in my helmet - the photochromatics work very well but the anti-fog is not so great. I heard that FogCity has closed down :y8: I bought "Fog Off" and put that on the visor and that does help but nothing keeps the fog away completely.
