I like the blue well enough now, but i'd still prefer some better color choices, and more importantly a speedy style paint scheme. The stripe down the middle is nice, but from the side it looks like a solid color and defiantly adds to the HD or "non triumph" look people complain about. the speedy looks no more triumph than this bike if you don't count the tank. More even because of the fork shrouds and battery on the side.Theres nothing we can do about the lack of knee indents, but hopefully they will at least offer a tank with a more triumph looking paint scheme as a accessory. They are on record for admitting they're after the HD market, but they must know that we who already ride triumphs would prefer a more triumph looking tank. Funny thing is, i believe thier marketing is way off base. i seruiously doubt anything more than the tiniest of fractions of HD riders will switch, especially when they would have to spend almost as much on the bike plus accessories to get the same finish quality as they would with a HD.

the site is opening a new page where you can create your own bike soon. You can pick the bike and color then add any triumph accessories to it and order it like that. it will be interesting to see how much the Tbird with the accessories i want will cost. i suspect as much as a comparable HD. That will put me off big time.

They'll sell, just not to harley guys who would miss that finish detail. the guys who will but it are triumph cruiser guys who don't necessarily thrive on tons of chrome. Speedmaster/america/rocketIII guys will want one. If i had to guess i'd bet it will be a big seller overall and mainly among triumph fans, plus it will capture a fair amount of those who would otherwise buy jap cruisers, but very few HD guys. The speedy/america i believe would have been a much bigger seller by capturing many more otherwise jap buyers if the engine had been at least a 1200.

Well as far as the screen and light go I must admit I don't like them. I don't need light anyway as I don't ride at night if I can really help it. Don't see that well in the dark any more so I don't ride around much even in the car. Looking at the bag story it looks like my Ventura kit would just bolt right onto this one as it does with the Speedy so I would much rather go with something like that.

:y20: what am I thinking about I cannot afford one of these bike in any event :y48: :y23:
