My wife bought me my 2005 TBA for my 59th birthday. Tried to make it a touring bike but it is much better as a fun cruiser (she needs bigger bags, etc) so this year, for my 65th, she bought me a R1200RT. Now I can strip the America and enjoy it as intended.

Joined the forum to respond to a question about disk shimmy. Dealer replaced disk but it reocurred. I installed a floating disk that fixed the problem. I'll give more info on the thread.

Happy 2 bike rider in San Diego.

Wasn't me asking about the RT. I've been looking for a couple years for a used one but haven't contacted anyone except to verify a bike was still for sale.

Welcome aboard from the opposite coast. You have tow very fine rides and a tremdously supportive wife. Congratulations on both counts! My late wife insisted that I buy myself a Tiger 800 XC for my 67th birthday. I am loving that bike.
