Happy Canada Day

Happy Canada day to any Canadians here; to our troops in foreign lands and to all Canadians around the world on our 144th birthday.
On 1 July 1867, Canada became and independent country from Great Britain.
We were a little behind the Americans who did it in 1776. Ours was a little more peaceful though, and not a shot was fired:y2:
We are huge in geography, but small in population, however we enjoy a high standard of life and live in peace under a democratic and freely elected government.
We have much to be thankful for.
The sun is shining and I'm about to mount up on the BSA and take a celebration ride with some of my like-minded vintage buddies - both in age and machines:y2:
See ya later.

Happy Canada Day, Rocky, and to all Canadians around the world. Have a wonderful holiday.

Happy Canada Day to all the Canadians near and far.

Enjoy your ride and return home safe.

Not sure how I should help celebrate, I might just go home and watch a John Candy movie.

Thanks everyone. You guys are the best.
We had a great day for our ride along the winding coastal roads. The speed limit on those roads is only 80 kph (48 MPH), but with all that right and left bend swinging, who needs speed!!!
We stopped at one fellows house who had a surprise for us in the form of hot dogs and hamburgers on the barbie; baked beans in a big crock pot; lots of soft drinks and two kinds of chocolate cake.
Do we know how to have fun or what!!!
And yes:y1: sadly, my igloo took a beating in the hot sun:y2:

Darn! I would sure have like to have been there. Glad you had a good ride. TUP

As they say in the Great White North.......

Don't Eat The Yellow Snow!....

Yes please! All ice cubes donated are gratefully accepted:y2:
They will melt going through the postal systems so send them by email:y15::y2:

I just emailed you two 10 pound bags of ice cubes. A few of them were a little damp when they were bagged and stuck together so you may need an ice pick on some if them.
