I saw that on the news yesterday and was completely stunned!! 
At least the poor guy got down OK with only minor injuries.

I also saw this on the news yesterday. That was a close call. I have tried hang gliding over the ocean. It was fun!!
My brother had a microlight and I went with him the one time and really enjoyed it.
Well, I guess we all know now how "hang" gliding probably got its name!!

I saw that too, that guy was lucky, i understand he said he wanted to try it again but with the safety harness the next time.

Hmmm. This is the kind of gliding I prefer, having take many lessons, but not getting to the point of soloing and getting my license. Will remedy that after retiring.
Trey, my son, wants to try wingsuit flying.
It looks fun, but I'm not THAT much of a daredevil.
I would be willing to try it. I loved my skydiving experience and the 5500 ft free fall. That was awesome.
You do notice those guys wear a parachute.
I would try in a controlled environment, then see if I wanted to go further.
I didn't notice until you mentioned it.
I think a lot of the wingsuiters land with the parachute.
I think that gliding is the way to go!
I see no need to jump off a perfectly good hill or mountain. As for skydiving? I was trained to bring a dead bird to the ground and I ain't gonna jump out of a perfectly good airplane.
It's a rush to the ground all the while hoping that the chute will open
