Awesome. hawk aside, if thats not enough to make you want to hang glide nothing will ! hang gliding over the ocean and those beautiful cliffs. makes you really understand what they mean when they say you aren't living unless you're living dangerously. I think like biking thats one of those things that you come home from feeling renewed, tho i think hang gliding would make you feel a LOT more renewed.
Speaking of hawks, a friend when i was a kid who's family were right out of the woods had a red tailed hawk they took from a nest and trained....at least as well as they can be. later on i myself had an owl for a short time. He was never trained tho. I'd carry him around on my arm (with a leather cover on my arm) but if i got my face close enough to him he'd snap at me and at least once cut my lip. I still have a very slight scar from that to this day.
