Thanks but that's not it I have five motorcycles the XC is the only one that causes me pain in my thumbs I put a set of 1 in up and back risers did not help I think it's the angle of the bar ends

I have pain at my thumb palm area after a ride ,anyone else have that issue. Any mods to help this?
Try a pair of barrel grips . I have Biltwells on my TTR and they make a world of difference for old hands , simply put they are the general shape of the palm of a hand . On my tiger the factory grips we so lovely I didn’t have the heart to cut them so wrapped them with equine leg wrap , 3M makes the plushest , 4$ a roll , think you need a roll for each grip . It’s exactly the width of a grip so if you want the barrel shape cut it along the equator of the roll and install a half at a time thicker in the center to get the desired result . If we didn’t use it on hockey stick handles I wouldn’t have come up with the idea but there it was sitting on the bench . It’s way softer than the Biltwells and you can make it the size you want . The horse supply stores sell tons of it .

Had the same problem with R9T, bar riser helped somewhat but went back to Triumph and problem persisted. Evaluated for median nerve entrapment due to years and years of hammering/mechanical work. Surgery solved the problem for me. You can try different bar combos & angles but you may wish to have a good sports medicine orthopod examine you to make sure you don't have an underlying issue. Just my opinion.
