I generally don't get arm vibration on long trips but my wrists and hands especially my joints in my upper thumbs
take strain (this is mostly from offroad riding damage)
I put these Kuryakyn hand grips on my cruiser and it helped

Dave Moss is an Englishman living in the USA. He's a chassis and suspension tuning wiz and he also covers ergonomics. Something that will improve rider comfort is setting the correct wrist angles on the brake and clutch levers.

Won't risk the wrath of the Mods by posting the link, but go to feelthetrack.com, click on Free Videos and select Setting Your Ergonomics. Although his focus is mainly on racing/track bikes, a lot of it applies equally to road use.

By the way, his stuff on suspension tuning is really good.
