I'm new here. Not new on about 8 other forums. I'm a retired photojournalist / business owner / educator / automotive tech / motorcycle touring guide. I started riding about 30 seconds after my brother lifted me onto the seat of his Hodaka, in 1962. I've been riding motorcycles nearly the whole of the last 49 years. I restore bikes from the '70s, '80s and on up to the mid '00s. My passion is to bring them back from a life of sitting under a tarp to a life of being ridden. Restoring bikes doesn't always end in smiles. I've had a couple that I ended up breaking for parts even though the restoration was well underway.
I live on Mercer Island between Seattle and Bellevue, WA.
I have two chocolate Labradors. One is going to be 10 in May, the other is still a pup at just 6 1/2 months.
My wife and I are planning on moving to Spain when she retires in 2023. We're looking at the possibility of creating a moto-tour business in the Galicia region of NW Spain. I'm thinking of using electric motos for the fleet. I do however intend to take my two Triumphs along.
