This past weekend was a Civic Holiday long weekend (Natal Day) in most parts of Canada. Our vintage bike club had an overnight ride scheduled for the weekend, but it rained on Saturday into Sunday so it was cancelled.
Monday dawned bright and sunny so myself and 16 of my closest friends (bike club) took a run down the coast to enjoy the ocean breezes.
I know, I know, this is useless without pictures, but there was nothing special to shoot.
After I settled in at home for the evening, and was doing a crossword puzzle, I noticed that "The Wild One" was on the Classic Movie Channel in HD.
What the heck, although I have the DVD, and I've seen it half a dozen times, why not once again.
Since the last time I saw it I have a wide flat panel HD TV which made for much better viewing. Every time I see the movie I find myself looking at the bikes rather than the actors:y2:, but the heroine, beautiful Mary Murphy, is very easy on the eyes:y15:
She is one of the few of the original cast that is still alive at around 80 years of age.

I went out and purchased one of those ones you can record on and all those fancy things. Used it about 5 times and it just sat there looking cool. So I disconnected it and put it away some place BGRIN I now have a PVR that does it all for me so I have no need for a DVD

PC viewing is OK, but some things need to be seen on a big (bigger) screen for the full effect.
But of course I have no idea how large your monitor is. Some of them are pretty big these days.

A little "Wild One" trivia:

The actor who plays "Dextro", one of Johnny's gang, is Jerry Paris, who went on to play Dick Van Dyke's neighbor, Jerry Helper (the dentist) in "The Dick Van Dyke Show".

Cool! I did know that that.

Now that you mention it, I do remember him from the Vandyke show.
I probably made the connection back them, but had forgotten about it.
It's all coming back now. Thanks for jogging my memory.
Jerry Paris played a lot of character roles and I always got a kick out of his acting.

He was also a director. Some of his directing credits were for "Don't Raise The Bridge, Lower The River", a couple or three of the Police Academy movies, Happy Days, and I believe an episode or two the Lucille Ball show.

He was also a German sergeant in Battleground.
