I'm going to back-track, start a rebuild thread, and fill in all the details. But for now, here's the current status of the almost running project bike.

Not much left but to install fuel taps, bolt down the tank & seat, run a section of 1/4 oil line to the rocker feed, re-connect all cables & hoses, top off the fluids and give it a kick or three...

Is the thread going to be about getting this bike into the running condition it's very close to, or about ongoing work to make it into a shiny show bike?
Either way I'll be watching. :)

It started out as a very scruffy non-runner that the previous owner had re-piped the oil tank causing the engine to seize. I'm turning it into an everyday rider, not too shiny, not too fast, just solid and dependable.

You can see here that it has progressed! I bought a decent bottom end that was not stuck, and will hopefully have it running next week...

Don't know if you recall a '61/55 Triumph it came with? Had a welded-on tractor seat, QD rear wheel with no brake installed as a front wheel, and both of them had 45# headlight/bracket assemblies with thin polished sheet metal wraps on the forks. Best part about the whole deal was the price.

I think this era BSA is one of the best looking motorcycles ever built. It is the king of cool.
