I ride a T140. Don't disagree with this article. I've got earlier RHS gear shift though. That said, my last 'modern' bike I bought was over thirty years ago, and it wasn't very new then. What you don't know you don't miss

It's seems to me a modern enough bike, with noise, vibration and (small) oil leaks. Much better fuel consumption than a modern bike too. Expect modern bike riders to laugh at the thin back tyre. Less sprung weight, ol' chap/chapess, is the reply.

Nice to know it was made in Meriden, before things got much more regimented.

I always enjoyed a bit of a vibration and noise on my bikes but then again I suppose I have also only had old new bikes all having had carbs. Oh wait I did have a brand new Honda 900F back in the 80's.

Triumph Bobber rider. Then he told me he got a maxi 90 miles out of his tank, which meant filling up every seventy miles or so.
About the same as the Craig Vetter-designed Hurricane based on the BSA Rocket 3. Hurricanes have been the most costly Meriden-era triples for many years. On that basis, buy a brand-new Bobber now, store if for about twenty years ...
