So there I was sitting in grid lock on my way to Joburg listening to Metalica full blast to cheer myself up. On the opposite side of the hi way I see a Rocket lane splitting as only a bike can do. I'm trying to catch a peek to see if I recognise the rider when whammmmmm....... there was more Rockets, a couple a Tigers and others.

The weather is a sunny crisp 11 degrees, I'm sitting in my car and they are on their way to the Swaziland run. I vowed that I would renew my passport on Monday. I wish I was with them. Working sucks!!

Your a long time dead. Do the sums, adjust your life and retire (if possible).
I've been my own man now for 15mths, no regrets, except possibly that I stayed at work too long.

EEK are you old or rich? I'm probably going to work until I'm 90. Mainly because I like working (except where it interferes in biking) and because I need my salary. Plus the salary pays for the biking. Heck it's an ugly, vicious circle but someones got to keep the economy rolling :y24: :y24:

I saw a Rocket climbing onto the N12 this morning.
The blue~ish one with the Union Jack paintwork that was parked outside TTC last Saturday.

Yep - I too turned a little green around the gills.

Lioness, I understand the working to support a biking habit. Although I am now unemployed and enjoying the freedom. I will soon have to go to work. I need a tire for my Bonnie and I need to get to work on my 71 Tiger.

I don't know if i ever mentioned it Carl, but i had a Tiger in the 70's. Tho it was a '78 750 and i wonder what the difference is between yours and a bonnie of the same year. My '78 only differed from a bonnie from what i was told by the single vs 2 carbs on the bonnie. I loved that bike in the short time i had it. I only have one pic of it and my girlfriend at the time was sitting on the back. When o broke up with her i took a scissors and cut her out of the pic !!! So now i have a pic of about 2/3 of my Tiger. :y24:
