Hello, everyone. I did search but did not find an answer. I removed the gearshift lever to see if I could reposition it higher so that it might be easier for me to shift but it didn't work.
Does anyone know the 2012 T100 torque spec for the bolt (5mm)?
Should this have locktite on it?
Should the shaft and lever have locktite put on it?
Thank You.

I don't have the exact torque figure and I wouldn't be too concerned about it if I were you.
If it's of any help the bolt for my T100 Bonneville calls for 12nm (9 foot pounds). I don't think yours would be much different.
It's a small bolt so just snug it up tight with a dap of blue Loctite and let it go at that.
Don't overdo it. When the bolt feels tight, that's tight enough.
Don't put Loctite on the shaft. The splines on the shaft and in the lever offer plenty of gripping surface.
I doubt that the bolt will ever loosen, but if you're concerned, check it once in a while to ease your mind.

Thank you, Rocky. That's what I'll do. Thanks to this great forum I was able to find a source for a Triumph shop manual and I ordered it so I'll have the info available to me.

Good decision. Lots of great information in those manuals.
I highly recommend that a rider get a manual for their bike right away.
Nice to have and not need, but nice to have when you do.
