2 weeks ago I decided to take the plunge and start riding again this year. It's been three years since I sold my Ducati Monster and of course that was the first bike I thought of getting again. When I went to the dealership I saw a 2012 Triumph Thruxton and immediately fell in love with it.
I wanted to get a Monster to customize it into a cafe racer. But the Thruxton already IS a cafe racer and the one I decided to get already had $3k worth of British Customs work done on it.
So now I'm a new Triumph owner. I haven't been able to ride it yet coz the weather hasn't really been cooperative here in New Jersey. I'm pretty sure I'll be turning to this forum a lot this year for advice.

is it riding weather yet?

Welcome from a new member and new Thruxton owner as well. That's exactly how I felt when I saw that bike! I'm stopping in the dealership Friday to finish signing all the paperwork but, like you, I'll have to leave it there until the weather breaks.

Hondo, Friday is going to throw up very mixed emotions is it not, sign for your new bike, and then having to say good bye to her for a while. Be brave, summers coming so you won't be apart from her for much longer. You know it'll be worth it. Roll on Friday a.
