In order to replace front fork oil seals I will need to remove the fork legs. I believe that in order to remove and replace the Allen bolts on the underside of fork legs it will be necessary to prevent the damper from turning inside the fork by pushing some sort of tool down the inside of the stanchions.
Do I need a special service tool for this or is there another way?
Any advice gratefully received. Brmm brmm brmmmm !

Remove the forks, re-assemble them with the the top caps putting pressure on the damper rods as appropriate.

Should be fine to loosen off the bottom bolts. if you have a pneumatic or electric ratchet, or even a power drill, they'll loosen right out without turning if you spin fast enough.

Thanks Grandpaul, I'll give that a go. See if I can snap off an Allen key and put it in a drill.
