tho its not so bad when you put the power on
but the rest of the time it's a pretty limited field of view.
could you possibly move it forward a bit so as to clear that upper fairing.?

Not bad, but not right either. As said, a little forward should do the trick and I think it would make a great location.
If you could get it so it does not cut off so much of the top that would be the mount to have as this sure has plenty potential that is for sure
