A horrible accident. I hate hearing of a biker going down.

The Florida Highway Patrol says two motorcyclists have died in a head-on crash.

Sgt. Dylan Bryan said in a news release that a 70-year-old man was attempting to pass traffic on Monday night when he collided head-on with another motorcycle driven by a 65-year-old man.

Bryan says both men died at the scene on State Road A1A in Flagler County, which is north of Daytona Beach.
The agency hasn't released the names of the victims have not yet been released
I used to live in Flagler County.

FACE so sad to hear, but at their ages, and probably with all their experience in Florida traffic, one or both of them were doing something wrong.
So sad for the friends and families.
I agree with your assessment, The accident happened on SR A1A which runs right along the ocean in Flagler County. It is a tourist road and often congested with slow, sight seeing traffic.

From another news source:
Two men have died after a head-on collision involving two motorcycles in Flagler County on Monday evening.

The Florida Highway Patrol says that they are still waiting to make next of kin notification, but that one of the men who died was 70 years old, and the other was 65.

Troopers say that around 8:30 p.m. that the 70-year-old man was traveling northbound on State Road A1A near Oceanshore Boulevard when his Indian motorcycle crossed the center line. His vehicle then collided with the front end of a Harley Davidson motorcycle, causing the Harley to overturn and slide into the shoulder of the roadway.

The accident report states that both men were not wearing helmets.
Florida does not have a helmet law. I agree with that because I hate nanny government. However, I am an ATGATT rider by choice. The only time I do not wear a helmet is when I am riding on the beach at 10 mph.
