I need to remove the float sending unit that is on the inside of the gas task.I can’t seem to get it off the metal arm that holds it. It seems to clip into two taps . Anyone in the community know how to do this? I have the fuel pump unit out of the way.

Interesting, i would like to know that too as i do fuel tank repair on m/c tanks. Got any pictures?
All will be revealed once you get to the end as it was for me. The Triumph tec that tried to relate the info thru my salesman was not helpful. Pictures if you can find any would be of great help in hindsight.
Well, I found that there is a small tap on the lower front of the plastic slide tray that the sending unit is attached to. Yep, there are in fact two pieces, in the end, making one. You need to blindly find with your finger a release tap at the front end. Push it down and it helps release the front arrow shape tap from the metal arm. Push rearward on the unit to release and free the rear tap of the unit from the metal arm support. I only found this out after prying and sliding a small metal piece between the plastic sending unit tray and releasing the part from the metal arm. All done with being lucky.
I got very lucky with this one. I did break off the rear release tap that holds the sending unit to the slide tray. I glued it back in place to the slide tray, I'm making a guess here that the petrol will dissolve the glue in the end. Time will tell. I think the sending unit that is now attached to the slide tray will be okay. As the metal arm that it is attached to also had a U shape stamping at the top of it to helped hold the plastic unit in place. It could still have a bad outcome in the end. I know have the knowledge to do a proper job the second time around. I have no idea what that float sending unit cost. I'm sorry I don't have any pictures.

Sorry I can't offer any suggestions for what you need, but I am wondering how you ended up needing to remove it on a bike that is so young?
