That may also be the way to go. I have never used either so I wonder what the good and bad points of both would be. Would heated grips not heat just the insides of your hands where the gloves are also heating the up side of them

On a naked bike, heated grips do not stop the windchill on your hands on a long ride. They do keep your palms warmed nicely. If you have a fairing or hand guards, heated grips are effective. For the relatively few times, I need warmth for my hands, the heated gloves work just fine. If I lived in a cooler climate, I would have a fairing.

I think I'll look into a pair of those, still debating between grips and gloves but I definitely want one or the other. Riding when the temp is between 0 and 5 for any long distance without something heated makes me very grumpy. Do those gloves seem like they will do a good job keeping dry in the rain?

I have never ridden in the rain with mine. It is rare that we get rain in cold weather. And when we do, I don't ride. I can take wet and I can take cold; but I can't take wet and cold. :y2: That said, they are advertised as water proof. The ad vantage of the grips is that there are no wires to plug in and hassle with. The advantage of the gloves is that they keep the backs of your hands warm as well as the palms.
