Ok try this then, go to add-ons and search for the British English and install it from there

OK...I am on my computer's Firefox now and the spell-checker is working perfectly!
What the heck !? It's working now ! Did you do something Dave? Oddly tho, i tried several non words and slightly miss spelled things and when i typed Im instead of I'm, at first it did NOT show a squiggly line. Then i did it a second time and it did. Weird.
Nope did nothing that I know about

Thats OK, but I type English and until I installed this dictionary my checker was forever pulling me up.

When Ben Franklin was in England after the Revolutionary War, they treated him like a subordinate.
He asked to be excused to go to the restroom.
When he entered the "water closet" he saw they had a portrait of George Washington above the toilet.
After he was done he returned to the group and they were curious how he reacted to seeing George Washington's portrait hanging in such an ignominious place, so they asked him how he felt about that.
He replied that he found it a very fitting location for a great man of his stature...which amazed them. So they asked why he'd feel that way and he said.....
What could be a more fitting place for the American general that defeated the British Army - since the very sight of George Washington makes every Englishman SH*T!

Dave, I have had a couple of time where the spell checker did not work; but lately it has been working fine.
It has never happened to me that I can recall
