Firefox, Spell Checker and the forum

Is anyone finding that their spell checker on Firefox is not working on the forum at all?

Haven't had a spell check working on TT since I can't remember.
Possibly way back when I went over to Firefox?
Because I'm a bad speller I usually put my posts into Word before I hit reply.
It's a pain so I hope we are getting one soon.

Kevin,go to your firefox options,go to advanced and in the browsing section,check the "check my spelling as I type option "

If your page looks the same as mine in the pic, then click on the orange firefox tab in the top left corner.
Options is in the second column,second up from the bottom.

No worrys, in your case options is in the tools dropdown,second from the bottom.

Thanks, I followed the instructions but my "check my spelling as I type" option was already ticked. As I type this no spelll check working.

Now Sharron and I are trying to download the dictionary Dave suggested, but my computer doesn't recognise the download.
We'll muck about a bit.

Kevin you still need to install the add on as below

Kev at the top left of your browser look for Firefox tab and click on it. You may also need to install this add on British English Dictionary

Then when you type it should show it like this, as you can see it highlighted like you then right click on it and select the correct spelling from the dropdown

What version of Firefox are you running as if it is too old it may not see the add on as that is for the more current version, check in your help and about it will tell you the version

When I checked it was 16.0.2 but now updated to 17.0

The dictionary down load failed BUT .... wen (when) I spell a word incorrectlt (incorrectly) now I'm getting the red line.

Don't know why but I'm now good.

yup,just had the same thing happen myself.
I couldnt get that dictionary to work either, but I dont care.
BTW Kevin, if you would like the simplified veiw( and more compact )as Dave and I have, go View-Toolbars and un check Menu Bar.
