Quote from me,
"Ha ha ha, I've been upsetting people tonight on another forum so decided to pi** you off as well Harry"

Quote from Devo,
"tis water of a ducks back kev
am a bit thicker skinned than that"

The other forum thing I referred to was a member wanted to bring her kids to a M/C maintenance day this Sunday if it was OK by us.
I posted and in a nice way said, children and blokes with tools don't go well together. I got a heap of PM's from members saying thanks for having the nuts to speak up. Hey, we have to call it as we see it, just try not to hurt people while doing it.

It was about a bunch of old greybeards goin for a ride
sorry kev,if ya wanna fit in youll have to do the old tramp thing.:y2:

OMG, look what I found on the internet, lucky we don't have anything like this on our forum.

I agree with that.
I've been to many events that are really only for adults and people have brought their kids who are not the least bit interested in the event and become annoying.
They want to touch everything and climb on everything, and the parents make little attempt to control them, which drives me nuts :y20:

Case in point: A group of us had just ridden in to a rally and parked our bikes. A fellow strolled by with a 4-5 year-old who walked right up to a bike and was about to reach out and touch a hot exhaust pipe.
I screamed at the kid to stay away and the father got pi$$ed at me until I explained what was about to happen.
He then calmed down, but didn't even thank me for saving his little son from a severe burn.
I "advised" him to take control of his child as he could get hurt around these machines, but he didn't even reply to my advice.
Most any male can become a father, but it takes a man to be a parent.

You are so right and I had the same thing with a child about to grab onto the hot pipes on my bike. I also screamed at the child and the mother got so pissed with me I never even had time to try and explain to her what the story was
