i was listening to the local classic rock station Monday morning when they played an odd song. Odd in that it was really a "pop" song from the late 70's which they don't play. After the song ended they got to talking about the story behind the song. This was still odd that they would spend this much time on the song.
So to continue, the song was about some dude that was getting bored with his wife/girlfriend, which ever she was. So he answered a personal ad in the newspaper and they eventually agree to meet. Turns out the dude had been corresponding with his wife/girlfriend instead of someone new. They talked awhile and he finds out she likes pina coladas. . . Blab blab blab.
Well they did all the talking to set up what they found on the internet, a remake of the song. The new version even uses the original '79 video.

The remake is both funny and sad. Funny because they used the original video. Sad because even as bad as the remake is, it is better than the original.
