Hey all. I decided to swap out the bulky fender for a slim-lined tail light. I went with the British Customs fender eliminator kit, since it's a bolt-on, "plug and play" option. So I thought.

First, I removed the fender and unplugged the factory tail light. That was the only thing that was unplugged.
I then mounted the underbody plate and tail light, and plugged the tail light in. From there, I plugged my turn aftermarket signals into their respective plugs using the BC turn signal adapters, which prevent me from having to splice any wires.

Now, none of my turn signals work. Even the front ones, which were working fine before. I then unplugged the aftermarket light and turn signals, thinking something was defective, and still nothing on the front signals. I plugged in the original, stock tail light and signals. NOTHING.

Not only that, but the brake light is no longer engaging. Occasionally, it will completely turn the light off, but a few minutes later, it goes back to doing nothing. Attempting to, again, rule out a defective part, I plugged the stock unit back in and the brake is no longer activating the brake light on the original unit.

Could I suddenly have a grounding issue? What else may be causing these mishaps? I am completely perplexed.

I’m having the same issue with the Moto Dynamic kit, no turn signals... brake light works.
They worked for a few days, now nothing. I replaced the fuse, still nothing. Tried turning off the sequential signals but still nothing.

If the Thruxton has a CANBUS electrical system it will be sensitive to different voltages if something has changed and possibly shut the system down in the affected areas to preserve the bikes electronics. Tigers are like that but not sure if the Thruxton or what other Triumph models have this.

Got mine working again, the turn signals, the brake and plate light always worked.
I read that some people set their comps to “type 3”. The kit said to use “type 2” so I tried 3 didn’t work. Tried 4 with no luck so I went back to 1 then to type 2 again and they started working.
I didn’t turn off sequential signals when I installed because I didn’t see that part until everything was done and I couldn’t get to the internal button. I tried to turn them off while it wasn’t working but it didn’t take. Now that it’s working again I took the rear light off and set it to just blink on one side, right or left. Instead of blinking from the center out to the right or left. The directions, that I missed, said that the blink rate on the Thruxton was too fast for sequential signals to work. So I’m guessing that was my problem and that it continues to work. I love the look of the kit.

Any luck with yours?
