This past week has been fairly hot and humid (for us), but this morning it was cooler and not humid.
As I finished breakfast at about 7:15 AM, I said to myself, "Self, you should have gone for a breakfast ride instead - but there's no reason you still can't go for a ride." By 7:35 I was on the road.
It was a cool 15C (59F), but I wore my textile mesh jacket and only a T-shirt anyway. I knew as the sun rose higher it would soon warm up - and it did - up to 22C (72F) when I got home and 26C (79F) in the PM. By now you "southern" boys are shivering at the thought of the cold temps
The ride route I chose was one I often ride and have shown before. My wife thinks it's boring to ride the same roads all the time, but that opinion comes from a non-rider; non-pillion. one day I ride it clockwise and the next time it's counter clockwise. Today, it was counter clockwise.
I'll admit it was cool at first, but it wasn't anything my Eskimo blood can't handle

The peninsula was re-paved a couple of years ago and it's a joy to ride on, along with the dips, rises, hairpins and sweepers. All this with the ocean right at my elbow. The area is not well populated so all I had to deal with was the occasional local traffic which didn't amount to anything.
This is the Aspotogan Peninsula near where my cottage is. Ignore the arrows. By the time I got home I had ridden 162 km's (101 miles) and I felt great!!
Yeah, I know, if there are no pictures it didn't happen - but it did!! I swear on a stack of motorcycle repair manuals!
