Yesterday morning my German Shepherd bitch was behaving strangely. She was restless and whining and did not want to eat.

I thought she was having a phantom pregnancy, as her nipples were enlarged etc.

Took her off to the vet, only to be told it is a real pregnancy!

Puppy No.1 arrived at 04h50 this morning and No.2 an hour later. Mom and babies doing well.

According to the X-Ray there are at least 7!

My memory had convinced me that I'd had her sterilized, but obviously my memory isn't what it used to be.

German Shepherd / Rhodesian Ridgeback cross puppies available in about 8 weeks.

Free to bona fide dog lovers. (Or should that be Bone Fido)

Yep.... it is a bit of a mess in there. Her litter "dropped" yesterday. Neither Lindi or I thought she was knocked up until then.

No 5 here.

The vet re-checked the x-ray and the number is now 6. The last one hasn't been born yet so mom has just had a jab to induce it.

Stop press. Last one born abt 5 mins ago.
