Or is it just in the muffler? I'm thinking of removing the AI but I don't want to change the hole exhaust system.
Does 2009 Bonnie have cats in headers ?

I will not remove the AI system if the headers have cats in them. I don't want to have to buy a complete exhaust system. If you remove the AI it will clog the cats. That's why I'm trying to find out where all of the cats are.
Well, I have one. Dave has one. George and Penny have two.......

As far as I know they only have the cats in the actual pipe and not the header so this makes for easy removal of them if you need to

You mean the cats are in the muffler,right? You are sure?
I have not done it but I seem to recall seeing a thread on this where someone removed them, maybe one of our members that know more about this could help
There are no CATS in the headers on the Bonneville; I don't think there are any CATs at all. I can't say for sure about the newer Bonnevilles. I have looked at them and I did not see a CAT. I have opened up silencers through 2007 models.
