Nov. 18, 2009- Sidney Crosby ran with the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic torch along Brunswick Street in Halifax, Nova Scotia from Sackville Street to Carmichael Street where he then handed off the flame to Sarah Conrad (Gold Medal Snowboarder) who snowboarded down Citadel Hill to meet him.

Crosby's elementary school changed its mascot to a Penguin.
