When having a coffee in town today I remembered this thread.
Not as clever as Dave's cup and saucer but it tasted real good.



The location, forgot to get an ocean shot but it's reflected in the window.



About 10 of these were flitting about the place. Man are they fast, hard to get a good photo.

It's called WIN Stadium, facing the beach at the bottom of Wollongong's main street.
It incorporates an open air rugby field, an indoor basketball stadium that quickly converts to a concert venue and that restaurant featuring in or outdoor eating.

Whatever it's called it sure was fast enough off the mark to "catch flying insects on the wing".
That may explain it's (to my eye) erratic movements.

Looks like a fantail tho according to wiki it could also be a willie wagtail http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fantail

Looked like that Grey Fantail in your link.
Definitely not the Willie Wagtail, I'm familiar with them and these birds were smaller and more timid than Wagtails.
