Well for start she isn't starting on one kick, which is a new problem. Then every other or every third kick it doesn't feel like the engine is getting cranked, it almost feels like the kick starter is getting gummed up. everything will move but i don't hear or feel the strokes of the engine.

Hmmm...probably not cold enough to make it too thick.

To establish if it really isn't turning the engine, pull out the sparkplugs and put a pencil in one of the holes. Crank the kick started with your hand and see if the pencil moves up and down. A screw driver will also suffice.

Right because there is no compression without the plugs. But did you establish that it WAS cranking the engine?

No....you probably did confirm it. So next I ask....did you use 8O-90 gear oil in the gearbox? The other two places you add oil (30 W engine oil) is the oil tank (under the nose of the seat) and a small amount into the primary cover (where the clutch is). Be sure you didn't overfill any of them

I haven't changed out the gearbox oil since i got it, and it didn't have these problems till now and i bought it from a shop so there is no reason for me to think that it came with the wrong kind. And the engine oil looks fine, close to a change but not terrible.

I was meaning the clutch could be engaging...in need of adjustment. Be sure the bike is completely in neutral. Also try kicking it with the clutch pulled in....it should kick absolutely freely.
