went to fill tank up today 4 winter and out of blue engine light came on , pull into gas station and bike stalled, at first thought it was fuel light , but wasnt , bike started up fine light never went out , stumped .......

calld triumph talkd to mech he said if map tubes fell off it would run rough. i cycled ignition key about 10 times then rode it and for now its off lol ,, fingers crossed 4 now.

I have a very similar issue with my '06 Tiger 955i.
Sometimes the check engine light comes on without warning or other misbehavior, and the gas gauge drops to zero, no matter how much fuel. It may, or may not, clear the light with a fresh tank of gas, but not for long. At other times just going down the road, the light goes out, the gas gauge starts working again, and all is well until the next time.
- I've replaced the float fuel level sender inside the tank, and that helped for a little while, but this is far from over.
I can get the codes with an OBDII reader, and sure enough, they indicate a fuel sensor problem. I think it's this but would have to verify once more: [P0463 - fuel sensor circuit high input]
I clear the codes and usually the light comes back on soon enough.
I'm stumped but not beaten.
Will try the cycling the ignition switch trick, but skeptical.

last spring i took the bike in because it died a few times when riding . dealer did current triumph tune on ecu, and installed new plugs and cleaned the tank. $459 bill . hope this doesnt hav to go back again, so far its good.
