Carl's Back In The Usa...........

O.K. everybody, here's what's happening with "our Carl"...........He and Mabel are home and doing fine, but his eye still isn't (and probably won't be) totally back to normal. Another surgery is going to be done tomorrow, I believe. Long story short, his eye won't make enough fluid to provide enough pressure to keep it from "wrinkling" so out comes the stuff they put in and in goes the oil again, permanently. He hasn't been in touch because his computer was damaged, he thinks, by a near miss lightning strike while they were gone, and his laptop decided to quit, recently, as well. They're heading off to North Carolina to handle some business up there with the property, and then off to Missouri for a granddaughter's wedding................they'll be back in mid-October. They do get around, if I do say so myself!!! Anyway, he'll be keeping in touch now that he's back and his cell phone won't put him in the poorhouse, like it would of in Canada, and I'll be passing on any information that's pertinent.

Jim thanks for the info. I mean i MOVED 508 miles from Alabama to Lakeland (SWAMPLANDIA) Florida to be closer to the Crazy travel mad OLD GOAT and he hasn't sent so much as a smoke signal.
Glad to hear all is well (except the eye) and he is back in the USA!

I'll tell him and find out more on the eye; he said that it should be like looking through a pair of sort of dark glasses, with the oil back in it. More to follow, when I hear from him.
