Been trying to look everywhere for those gorgeous looking cafe racer fairings for a standard thruxton, can only find ones for the R model. Preferrably in glossy black, but I guess any colour is fine and I can paint it myself. Looking from Brooklyn NY.

Hi Kassy82 I have the Thruxton 1200 D with the fairing and it is exactly the same as the R model,so you should be able to find one to match the colour of your bike.
make Sure that all the fittings are included,as the headlight needs to move forward.
Good luck:)

Hi Trumpetlad can I ask you about the comfort of your Thruxton? I suffer from acute sciatic pain after a long ride. Is the riding position to sporty? Does the fairing change the handlebar setting? Test rides feel fine.

Hi Wazza, I am tall and slim,6ft and about 80 kgs and the riding position is fine for me, absolutely no issues. Though I don,t have sciatica, the riding position isn't as aggressive as appears, especially with the stock clip-ons.
I have added the lower clip-ons on mine, still no problem. they can be a bit hard on the wrists while doing slow stuff in town, but once up and running, they are fine.
I have done a few 600+ km days with no problems at all.
Hope this helps

Thanks for taking the time to respond Trumpetlad. I think the Thruxton will have to remain my pin up bike. Fancy riding for 35 years and you're still only 80kgs,

Carl I clicked your service flags. That's a nice gesture that should be adopted in other countries. I'm pretty sure it isn't common in Australia.
