Hurricane/tropical storm Leslie has passed and it's a beautiful and sunny late summer day.
Here along the coast we didn't get the heavy rains as they did more inland where there is severe flooding in low lying areas. Lots of people were stranded or had to be rescued.
Leslie is still soaking the eastern end of the province as it moves away and is now over the province of Newfoundland to our east.
We dodged a bullet once again, but we're not complacent about it. The next few weeks will be tense until the hurricane season passes.

Rocky, I am glad you dodged the bullet and have no damage. Newfoundland is getting a direct hit.

good to here someones going to get a ride in.:y16:
apparently we have snow in wellington tonight.

Snow is a four letter word!

It is the season of change here, too. Yesterday we had a cold front move through, which is unusual for this time of year. It is a weak front; but it is a sign of the changing season. Our high today will be only 87 F/30.6 C. It was 93 F/34 C yesterday. But the big change is the humidity is is much lower.

Yes it is. I just fininshed mowing a half acre along with weed trimming and did not break a sweat. Last evening I was sweating just picking up debris.

Experienced the same over the weekend. Mowed Sunday....washed the bike, no sweat...literally. And even was able to TURN OFF the a/c & open the windows and doors and air out the house a little most of the day. Very nice. :y2:
