Hi guys! August before last, our little Brit Bike club had its monthly meet at a local shop that caters to vintage iron. It was a decent turnout and a nice evening. At least that's how I remember it. (There were "refreshments" involved.)

Here's a few photos I took of the proceedings:

Out on the street- the bikes rolled in. I'd have any one of these three!

Beezers! A nice example.

Dr. Denny and his '52 Vincent... my 1050 Tiger faces away in jealous envy.

Here's the ubiquitous 150 mph speedo

Yes, even a Harley showed up. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.)

Next time we'll have a look inside the shop.

Re: Brit Bike Clob Meeting

First off, it's CLUB you idiot! C...L...U...B! Man! Why didn't I catch that title misspelling in the proofread? My humble apologies, and could someone with the power of fixing such things please fix it?

Now for a look inside the shop as promised.

Vincents, love 'em but I'll hold off buying one till I hit a lottery.

That goes for Broughs too.

It's like looking at sculpture in metal.

"Lesser" bikes just lying around.

Flip side of Denny's '52.

The gentleman in the hat is none other than the late "Big Sid" Biberman- famed U.S. Vincent racer/builder/expert/guru. Son and co-author Matthew appears in the background.

It's not everyday you get to see such rare and exotic bikes (at least not for me) and it was such a pleasure to talk with a legend like Big Sid. The shop has since re-located and I haven't seen what's going on there yet, but maybe a future "club" meeting could happen there again. Next time I'll report on a Norton rally from a couple years ago.

Cheers.

Re: Brit Bike Clob Meeting

I know what you mean about waiting until you hit the lottery. That is precisely why I don't own a Black Shadow. CRY

I corrected the typo. :y2:

Uncle Nort, no now don't bee two ard on urself, weave all mod mistoocks. :y2:
Thanks for the pictures, they are as last time really good. As to the quality of one of them, my guess is that you were getting a tad excited about being so close, yet unfortunately, so far from the bike of your dreams. That covers most of us then. Looking forward to the photo's of the Nortons

Re: Brit Bike Clob Meeting

Thanks for the correction Carl, I feel better now. And about that Black Shadow... I'd settle for a Prince, a Knight, or a Rapide of course.
