well my old landrover finally died and gone beyond resonable repair :y8:
so with a heavy heart i sold it for spares .
so i didn't no what to replace it with ! i wanted something a bit more comfy than my old series 3 landy.
soooo ive bought a subaru legacy estate ! what i failed to relise when i bought it, is it is a japanies import , SO WHAT YOU ASK YOUR SELF !
well i'll tell you !
thinking i was going to see a run of the mill legacy due to the fact he only wanted £1250 for it and it is mint with only 82000 on the clock.
it turned out to be a 2.0L twin turbo pushing out 280bhp BGRIN full leather all the gadgets you can think of ,and best of all i got it for £1000 :y56:
OMG! IT GOES LIKE SH*T OF A SHOVEL !:y37:

I swear by Subarus....we've owned many of them over the years and always got more than what we felt they were worth out of them. All three of my children now drive Subaru Foresters.

They're also quite safe as my Son has totalled two of them (drove one over a 50 foot embankment) and came away without a scratch.

Once my Son accidentally drove over a parking lot divider in the snow and ripped the oil pan completely off. He didn't realize it and drove the car 85 miles home that way. It didn't hurt the motor at all and a new pan was mounted. We drove that one another 70,000 miles before trading it in.

I have a Sub also. It was put together in the USA and the company does a lot of good things to various groups and causes. The CEO does not get paid like other US companies. I love my cars. I wish they would build a Jeep or Land Rover type though. These cars are bullet proof. I was rear ended really hard and not hurt at all. And, it was repair like new. The only thing that I don't like is my car is hard to get in and out of.

The Subaru and Nissan are the only jap vehicles I would look at getting. I've never owned a Sub but I've put many miles on a Forester many years ago. I have a feeling you are going to enjoy yours, they're well build cars.

Interesting opinions. I have never driven a Subaru, but have heard they perform well.

I am sold on turbocharged petrol engined vehicles, and Sub seem to be one of the few manufacturers (available here) who do this, apart from Volvo, which is what I have.
There is a possibility that I will look at Subaru when it is time to change cars.

I have owned a Subaru and each of my kids have owned one. As Tony said, they are nearly bullet proof. If I were in the market for a car, it would be a Subaru.

How well do Subarus sell in Florida?

When my Mom moved down there, she bought a new car. I was VERY surprised to hear it was a Subaru Legacy Wagon. I asked her if she even knew it was All Wheel Drive and she didn't. I don't know what she was planning on doing other than running it on the beaches!?

You pay a price in fuel mileage for the AWD but if you live where it snows, it's worth it.

Subarus sell fairly well here. They have a good reputation for longevity. We still have a good number of unpaved roads in the rural areas of the state and the Subarus handle them pretty well.
