For some unknown reason, I couldn't find it on their website.

But I did see a review of it online, so it must exist.

That's how I noticed that they were reviewing one with an "i" at the end.

The Parrot bluetooth came in the mail today. I'll do an initial review of it after it's fully charged and then a final review when I can actually try it while riding.

I will say that the directions booklet completely sucks. Right now it's charging so there's a red LED light glowing on it. But it gives you NO information about how long the typical charging time is or if the red LED changes to another color or goes off when it's fully charged. It MUST do something to let you know when it's charged, but I just don't know what??

I was in a shop buying some stuff for Mila today. A generic water resistant GPS mount and a pair of textile pants.
Anyways, the missus is with me and spots one of these helmet intercom bluetooth thingymabobs....
"Why don't you get one of those, then we can talk to one another while we riding?"

My reply "HELL NO!"

Nag, nag nag nag nag all the way to breakfast.

Erm... no.

:y10:

I would just get a bollocking for riding too fast, popping wheelies and jumping toll gates.
Normally I just get a few in the ribs - but I've toughened up and can take it.:y2:

Well, it's just my luck!

The unit synched up to my cellphone perfectly.

BUT, the remote control device that you put on your hand grip doesn't "connect" with the main unit. The remote is the only way to change sources and get into the settings.

I followed all the instructions to reboot the device which is what it says to do if the remote won't sync up - to no avail at all. I checked that the battery was inserted correctly 20 times. I even checked the battery with my voltmeter to make sure it wasn't a bad battery - it has the proper voltage output.

I've repeated all the steps a hundred times to try and reboot and reconnect the remote with the main unit and nothing works!

OK.......strike that above!

Just as I thought I would have to return it and had given up hope, it suddenly starts to work???

I don't know if the problem was that I didn't tighten the little battery door screw down tight enough or what. I removed and replaced the battery one last time and this time I tightened the screw down much more than I had before (I always worry about over-tighening things).....and whoosh...it begins working!

Now to try it out on a ride.
