I have never been to Bikeoctoberfest but have always wanted to go. I understand it is a little more laid back, is it fewer people, and is it about the same as the March meet?
Biketoberfest has a lot fewer attendees, warmer weather , warmer ocean temps () , and an easier going feel . There are fewer vendors , mostly HD stuff . We always head up to Destination Wallet as I call it and J&P store . The gang has been together for over 15 years , all good people . .....and there’s the usual bars to go to . My wife enjoys it also .

I am sorry to hear your area is experiencing an increase of Covid19. That is not good news.I

Here in Florida, we are opening up and have had three major sporting events without an increase in Covid19. Will Bike Week be a super spreader event? Time will tell. The theme parks have reopened at 50% capacity and that seems to be working fine. It seems that private events and parties are the major spreaders here. But our rates are declining.

I am not worried for me as my wife and I are vaccinated.

You are spot on.
Good news today as they have opened things up a notch to some other colour . Will allow the grand kids to start their hockey playoffs so we’ll have a reason to leave the bunker for a few weeks . Hopefully we will get back to a Maritime Provinces bubble so I can truck the Thruxton to Moncton for a couple of overdue warranty issues , a remap and side stand switch inspect . May take Tigger over for a trade in appraisal . Got a call from a salesman , he’s from Charlotte NC . Think I should move to Miami and sell yachts...

I’ve gone to the March Meet in Daytona Beach from ‘97 to ‘05 from NJ . Test rode everything I could get my hands on. In ‘05 I started going to Biketoberfest in Daytona and have attended since then .....oh aside from last year and just a few years ago when that hurricane beat the ever living snot out of the area . We stay on the beach with friends from Bushnell . We’ll be back this year at Daytona Beach Shores . Gotta meet up .
Yes we do. I would like that. Let me know when you are coming.

It is about the same as Bike Week only smaller.

Bike Week, that annual biker’s event that draws bikers from all over. Thursday, March 11th dawned cool, dry, and sunny with a promised high of 80 degrees, ideal for an MSTA lunch ride. Five of us gathered in Altamonte Springs for an easy ride to the St Johns River Grille on the St Johns River west of Deland. The St Johns River Grille is an old favorite. Frenchy rode up from Ft Lauderdale and joined us for a leisurely back roads ride.

We arrived at the St Johns River Grille at 11:20 AM and a several MSTA riders were already there. We had riders from Fernandina Beach, Tampa, Brandon, Ocala and other Florida cities. Frenchy came the furthest riding 252 miles from Ft Lauderdale. Sixteen of us enjoyed a delicious lunch. With Covid 19 still lurking, we had a good turnout.

The food was great and the service superb. The scenery on the St Johns River was relaxing. We enjoyed great fellowship. After lunch, some riders went on to Daytona Beach. Our group[ chose to return home as most of us had already been to Daytona. It was a really good day

Glad things are relaxing a bit for you. TUP

No key lime pie this time. I was too full.
Thanks for the pictures but wish someone hadn’t brought up the Key Lime pie . Why don’t we have it Canada ? Got me so excited I opened the i Pad , registered both bikes , the truck , and renewed my driver’s license. Unusually cold and windy on Prince Edward Island today ,even a few flurries , but spring is almost here with forecasted 10 c and sunshine all next week .

No, she gave up bikes and left the forum after being involved in a car/bike crash and too many other close calls.
That's a shame because I enjoyed her posts and interacting with her
