Many years ago I worked for the local Suzuki importer who, in thier infinite wisdom, sent me to the factory in Hammamatsu.
One of the production lines there had a bike coming off about every minute or so onto a dynamometer.
As it did, a worker clipped on a battery and started it up.
Stone cold brand new it had to pull into the red in all the gears.
From there it was crated up and shipped to some client who dutifully ran it in......
